Tommyisms

After a recent dinner Tommy commented, "I like fork 'n beans with hotdogs!"

******************************************

While I was getting ready this morning, I overheard Jon giving Tommy a mini-lecture on being gentle with Joey. I didn't hear this last part, but Jon told me about it later:

Jon: "Okay, so Tommy, when Daddy says don't touch Joey, what do we do?"
Tommy: "Play with fingerpaints?"

******************************************

Tommy's teacher: "Tommy, where is your daddy?"
Tommy: "He's at work."
Teacher: "What's he doing at work?"
Tommy: "He's playing with the guys."

Tommy loves to re-tell stories and nursery rhymes. Here are some recent quotes:

"The moon jumped over the cow."

"Do you know the muffin man, mom?" (asked in complete sincerity)

And last but not least, Joey has had many a "great fall" lately, according to Tommy. Thank goodness we haven't needed the king's horses and men!

An Update in Photos

Our family is doing really well, happily enjoying Spring on the days it visits Minnesota. Tommy and Joey are growing up so fast! We already registered Tommy for preschool in the fall--can you believe it?! And little Joey is crawling, standing, and eating everything even though he still only has two teeth! Today we dyed Easter eggs--I wasn't sure Tommy would be old enough to enjoy it, but he LOVED it! Here are some pictures I took of the boys after their bath:

Joey at the "Wall of Fun." He always crawls to this spot where he has easy access to the door stop (for fun noise), the vent (for more fun noise), and Tommy's night light (not pictured).

Tommy riding Huge Dog. (That's really his name.) One of Tommy's 2-year-old friends came to our house and was so scared of sweet little Huge Dog that he started crying.
Tommy wanted to take pictures of me taking pictures of him.

Joey proud to show off his rolls (er, uh, I mean biceps).

I just thought this picture was cute.
