Jon was giving the boys a bath when I heard a great commotion and Jon shouted: "Christy, can you come and get Tommy?" I ran into the bathroom and found Joey coughing and crying, wiping water from his eyes, and Tommy crying as Jon lifted him out of the tub. It seemed Tommy had dunked Joey, so as a consequence, Jon got him right out of the bath. A just punishment, right?
Both boys calmed down as Joey finished his bath and Tommy got dressed. Soon Jon brought Joey, wrapped in a snuggly towel, into the bedroom. He then asked, "Tommy, do you know why Daddy got you out of the bathtub early?" Tommy's response: "But I was trying to baptize Joey!"
That simple answer melted our hearts.
But we still had a good long talk about bathtime safety, priesthood authority, and, besides, Joey's even not eight years old yet!

Ah, come on. You know he has been listening. Just that it hasn't made sense to him. Don't you just love such moments.

Love this story! Jordan did the same thing to Jarrett once.
That is awesome! Who knew Tommy would be so concerned about Joey's spiritual growth at such a young age? :)
