One of My Favorite Blessings

One of my favorite things to do is singing! It is also something that I get to do in abundance each Thursday night every Fall, Winter, and Spring as part of the Minnesota Mormon Chorale, an auditioned, church-affiliated choir. I'm so grateful for Jon's support in this--he even gives up his opportunity to play church basketball (also on Thursdays) so that I can sing in the choir! I've been in this choir almost as long as we've lived in Minnesota--about 6 years.



This season we joined with another choir, the South Metro Chorale, to create a combined choir of 75 singers, along with an orchestra of 28 fantastic instrumentalists to sing the beautiful "Hymn of Praise" by Mendelsohnn.

I've been singing in a choir almost continuously for the past 19 years, a great blessing in my life, and a gift given to me mostly by my mother, and now my sweet husband. What a blessing. As I make my ward choir sing in warm-up each week, "I LOVE TO SING!"
